Recording the MIDI output of B-Step into FL Studio

Found a good video explaining something similar.

I've included a FLStudio 11 song template using the same principles to record the MIDI output of B-Step into the piano roll of FLS, via another plugin as it is not possible to do this (I don't think) in FLS at the moment.

You need to dl the Melodo plugin for this to work. It is explained in the video and I have included basic instructions in the song template. Put it in your template folder and it will be available from the file menu for easy access.

The recorded notes will probably need to be adjusted to bring them into sync with how you want them, as Melodo is not synced when it records the data.

This is handy if you want a more conventional way to edit the notes and midi data you come up with in B-Step.

You may need to use the latest Winrar to unzip the file.

Hi Monoplugs,

I have a similar question, for Bitwig.

Is it possible to record the MIDI output of B-step into the Bitwig piano roll? And, is it possible to "import" MIDI from a clip into B-step?

My other DAW is Sonar, and the Step Sequencer handles this functionality very easily.

Please let me know if it's possible in Bitwig, and how to do it.

Thank you,

sagetone

Hi Sagetone,

I'm not really a Bitwig user and have no idea how to record the MIDI output of a plugin in Bitwig. Are you member in a Bitwig forum - can you ask there? Otherwise I can test for you - soon as possible.

Cheers

Thanks monotomy, I'll ask over in the Bitwig forum and report back.
