Sometimes when you use the LoopBe1 midi driver in Ableton, it cuts out and mutes the sound.
It doesn't really give any warning when it does this and it can confuse you and make you spend half an hour working out why your synths are not triggered.
If you are using windows 7 make sure you set it to 'Show Icon and Notifications' in the control panel setup.
This way you will be able to see when it is being muted or not, in the task bar at the bottom of your screen.
I have my taskbar set to 'autohide' which means that it actually disappears to give me more screen size when it is not being used. This can also add to the confusion as you can not see the icon.
Just keep this in mind if you use this driver. If you see that it has been muted in the taskbar, just unmute it and you should now have sound again for your synths/vsts.
