A couple missing featues in Monique

Post by Netsu » 24 May 2016, 09:33

Hey there, I'm not sure how viable this would be, since it would require adding new elements to the UI, but three things I felt are missing from Monique:

1. tune envelope

Being able to modulate the tuning of oscillators with an ADSR envelope opens up a lot of possibilities, currently I can only bind the tuning to an LFO (and each OSC has it's own LFO for that) and only for OSC 2 and 3. Adding another knob to the filter, like the one for cutoff and resonance, but for tuning would be great, ranging from -100 to 100 cents maybe?

The problematic thing here is that tuning is an OSC parameter, not a filter parameter, so having a filter knob control all three oscillators could seem strange. Maybe at least enable X-MOD to modulate the tuning of OSC 2 and 3 instead of only being able to bind L-MOD to it?

2. key tracking

Key tracking on the filter cutoffs, this would require another knob I think, to control the tracking depth.

3. ARP sync to note

As far as I know currently the ARP is not synced to anything, would be great to have some syncing options, for example to reset the ARP every time a note is hit.

Hi Netsu,

welcome and thanks for your feedback.

I'm currently working on 2 and 3 and this will come with Monique 1.1. in a bit.
If you like you can test it in a bit - any additional input is welcome.

For 1: added to the TODO for 1.2
