Or it is not the users 'mistake' but the manuals? ;-)
Some introductory, summary coolness chapter might be necessary? But then, even this nobody might want to read.

Re: Skin Colour Editor - Ideas

Second looks good.

I found, in the theme editor, the sequence colors we can not set independently. This would be on my wishlist.

Re: syncing with Auria.

If you use the vst method, there should be no drifts, but of course there is always the 'quantize' feature in DAWs, for example Reaper can quantize directly during recording the output midi notes of a vst like b-step. Zero drift for sure. Ableton Live is a very quirky application for midi but many u...

Then it can look like a hardware machine, for a possible future design. :) Or from tablet/ipad standpoint view, sides are useful places for the thumbs, if you would hold the table like that in your hand. Like playing nintendo, only a little bigger. :D

Re: One more interesting candidate for the future, from mid

If you find a better map, do not forget to tell me. :) I wished, and proposed rgb mechanical keyboard designers _should_ use 16 function keys, rather than 12, but did not get any replies. So we have to do our best with 12 function keys and still using 16 steps for a bar. For triplets, 12 steps are r...

Re: Simpler Rebeca-type-thing - note delays/repeats

Yes, possible, why not. Simple gui, powerful results. Or a toggle-shift button. So you can toggle into the other mode and stay there, until you use this button again.

Re: Simpler Rebeca-type-thing - note delays/repeats

Or another row under duration and velocity, called 'step repeats'. It would be same as for 'bar repeats', but here repeating steps, not bars, for the amount of times. If you want to add another crazines dimension. Add one more row there: 'step divisions' for creating Tangerine Dream ratcheting. Both...

Re: Simpler Rebeca-type-thing - note delays/repeats

Very simple idea, interestingly, sounds cool. So, we can call this magic. Now we need one more row of parameters for this?

Check M185 sequencer idea, repeating same step note 1..8 times. Cirklon recently added it, too. Here an example video, how it can sound:

Re: One more interesting candidate for the future, from mid

But assuming we have this rgb-qwerty already, we can start planning how to use which buttons for what? As the function keys are only 12, rather than 16, the 16 buttons have to be used elsewhere. I know and used two forms already: 1. 2 x 8 approach, twice possible, in 4 x 10 matrix space. a) 12345678...

Re: Timed Pattern Mute - reverse - play for T time then mute

Yes, this is why it is called, faded mute, or 'delayed mute', when volume reaches point volume=0, then it can be called muted. Until this point, we can call it 'faded mute', it is still fading out, until point of being 'mute' is reached. These things are possible in DAW's very comfortably already, n...

Re: One more interesting candidate for the future, from mid

In another video they were mentioning a Lua API, so let us wait. If I can switch the lights quick and comfortable enough from some API, I will buy one, I assume, but I might wait until they open up those switches for other companies, too. It can not take too long.

Re: Bar snapshots/pattern snapshots

A pattern snapshot would save the whole state of B-Step - all steps in all bars, all bar repeat and chaining settings, etc. Calling this 'global snapshot' is better for understanding *maybe*? Pattern sounds as if effects only a single pattern, but it does not in this suggestion. When talking about ...

Another candidate for supporting, besides Launchpad

Another candidate for supporting, besides Launchpad, interesting with faders, even somehow cheapy, faders like on the new APC mkII would be cooler of course, because bigger, better to touch. Better than nothing. I have no information about the programmability differences among Launchpad vs. APC mini...

Re: Midi Drag&Drop, global set velo and duration

Every *action* has to be directly accessible. As this is only software, you can add as many more buttons on the GUI as you want, if your GUI has still enough space and you do not mind cluttering it up with more buttons. Possibilities are: 1. More buttons, making GUI space bigger. 2. Using pages, the...

Re: Midi Drag&Drop, global set velo and duration

Yes, I know. :) So you can use any one you wish as shift. It can be any button, no matter what is its original single use function. Holding it, will give it a new function together with another button press and release. As I have no Launchpads I am not sure how those button pressing combinations wor...

Re: Midi Drag&Drop, global set velo and duration

I have no complete overview of the functionality. The idea is, you use any of the available buttons, which are not used yet for other stuff (as shift key) and using this as a shift key for some new function, like changing all velocity and duration of the pattern. We need an overview as follows: a) b...

Re: Timed Pattern Mute - reverse - play for T time then mute

From my experience with muting in general. I need two 'mute functions'. 1. Dirac mute: This is the mute function everybody knows, immediate muting and unmuting. 2. Faded mute: This is like drawing the volume fader slowly up or down. You need to adjust the length of this fading time, it could be in p...

There are BlueArp, arp!0 for Reaper as js, but non-Reaper users can use it, too. Kirnu has some likers. ERA2, which is a world of its own. KeySnap for Reaper, as js. Sequetron has fts/ftn, force to scale and force to notes.

A more general question, never used touchscreens. How is right mouse click handled with multi-touch screens, normally? Is there are 'standard way' how this is mapped?
